Description

1967 AMC Rambler Rogue
I bought this AMC as a project and finished it to have something to take to car shows and cruise nights while my 1934 Ford coupe was in the paint shop. I did not build this car to be a show car so if that’s what you are looking for you will be disappointed. The paint still has some shine but overall the car is a 10 footer and has great patina. It was built to be a driver.
I just got back from the Heartland Nationals GoodGuys car show and the car had a crowd around it all weekend. I saw people walk around 0K street rods to look at the old AMC. Yes she is a little rough around the edges but it is a blast to drive and always has people looking at it.
Body: Steel Oklahoma car in very good condition. The car has some dings and bumps but overall has the patina look everyone is after today. All the windows roll up and down and the windshield has a little fogging on the sides. I have installed LED taillights, license light and turn signals into the original housings and the lights all work as they should.
The bumpers, mirrors, and trim shine good but have some dings and scratches.
Drivetrain: LS2 and 4L60E out of a 42K mile GTO. All of the following parts were installed new within the last 2 months. Plugs, wires, coils, Holley coil covers, engine oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, alternator, starter, crank and cam sensors, transmission cooler, K&N air filter with polished air intake, and polished throttle body. Holley cast headers with Borla mufflers and dual exhaust. Champion LS Swap aluminum radiator with shroud and a Spal electric fan controlled by the ECM. Stainless steel overflow tank. We cruised the GoodGuys traffic at the Heartland nationals and she ran COOL!
Interior: DEI sound deadener and insulation mat. New carpet from Stock Interiors. Pro Car Scat fully adjustable bucket seats, Yogis seat belts with chrome buckles. GM tilt steering column with Grant GT steering wheel. Sidewinder multi gate shifter. Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with Pioneer 6X9 speakers in the rear deck.
Door panels are in good condition but the passenger side panel has some damage on the bottom. The car does not have a rear seat due to the car being mini tubbed for the large rear tires. The mini tub is carpeted and looks good.
Suspension: Custom chassis from front to rear. Mustang II style front end from Chassis Engineering that has tubular upper and lower control arms. Power steering and Wilwood disc brakes on the front and back with Wilwood proportional valve. Viking dual valve coil over shocks on all 4 corners. The rear end is a 9 inch Ford posi. with 3:90 gears 4 bar set up with panhard bar. Drive line specialties drive shaft with new heavy duty u joints. 18 X 8 American Racing wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 225/40ZR18 tires in the front and 18 X 10 American Racing wheels mounted on Nitto NT555 G2 275/40ZR18 tires in the rear.
The LS2 and 4L60E are controlled by a Holley Terminator X Max ECM.
The ECM is mounted in the glove box and the LCD display is mounted on the steering column and is set up for a multi gauge display including MPH. Also installed a new Tanks fuel tank with an electric fuel pump, sender, and corvette fuel regulator / fuel filter assembly.
The car runs great and the engine / transmission are flawless.
We have been cruising around local shows and cruise nights with no problems at all. Still trying to dial in the coil over shocks and the suspension settings. Like I stated before this is not a show car, and is a used auto so it does not have any warranty. It is a blast to drive and will be a fun toy for someone.
I have many pictures of the build that can be sent out upon request.
I have a stack of receipts and part numbers for everything on the car. My receipts far exceed the reserve price for this rambler.
I require a 00 deposit within 24 hours of the auction close with the remainder of the funds paid in full within 3 days. I accept cash, wire transfer or a cashiers check written on US bank. I will assist in shipping of the car and it can be stored at my location until transport can pick up. The car will not leave until all funds have cleared my bank. I have a clean and clear Iowa title for the Rambler.
I have sold numerous cars and have never had a disappointed customer. Please ask questions before bidding and have all funds in order before buying. Feel free to ask anything about the car. I will answer any and all questions in a timely manner, and have many more pictures of the car as it was being built. I have a business opportunity so the car is listed to sell. You could not come close to building this car for what the reserve is set at.
Thanks for looking at my Rambler auction and remember to bid early and often.
