Description
Up for auction today is a vintage, c.1970, "First Mail Route in West Virginia Salem-Harrisville in Doddridge County" jacket patch. This is a RARE 3" cheesecloth patch. This patch is in very good shape, but the back will need to be cleaned up a bit as it has paper/glue residue on the backside. YouTube has several remedies for doing this, but I just do not have the time (continue reading and you will understand why). This patch is from a MASSIVE 1000+ patch, one-of-a-kind company sales catalog, from the Swiss Craft Embroidery Company that used to be located at 934 W. North Avenue in Chicago. Whenever an order was produced, one patch was saved to the sample catalog with all of the correct stitch & thread numbers for their next order. Loads of Law Enforcement, Boy Scouts, Fire Departments, etc....Patches date from the 1960's with the newest being 1974 and almost all are cheesecloth. There is absolutely NO doubt as to the patches authenticity. This was the most expensive book that I ever purchased $$$$$.....LOL. Anyway, all patches will sell with NO reserve and FREE S & H. Thanks for viewing.......Triple K
