Vintage 99482-70 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Service Manual 1970
Used factory service manual for the FL Electra Glide from Harley Davidson made in 1970 only. This was the debut of the alternator / cone motor, 1200 cc 74 inch four speed big twin. Original rare factory book from 1969 not bound but loose leaf with metal binder. This book is I think is a collectible. As provenance goes it came from Columbus Ohio , AD Farrow Dealership and was owned by Tom Reiser for over 40 years, I picked it up from his retirement auction a few years ago. It is in very good condition with some writing on edges.
Factory Service Manuals

The total number of tasks described is generally more than found in an aftermarket manual such as a Clymer or Haynes manual. ( which btw are now just one company ). In the early years of the internet I out sold many online sellers and even Amazon when it came to service manuals for motorcycles. This is what I know to be true. In order of quality and accuracy the list of service manuals is:
1. Factory Manual (best)
2.Clymer Manual (better)
3.Haynes Manual ( good)
The best value in any service manual is a used manual. You don't pay the high price of new. You don't have to use a computer or printer to access the knowledge of a download. A used manual is portable and can be taken directly to the work area.
